The head of the Bethel is called the Honored Queen. The Honored Queen is elected by members of her Bethel and is often of high school age, among the older members of the group. The position is roughly analogous to Worshipful Master in a Masonic Lodge. The Honored Queen is assisted in her duties by a Senior Princess and a Junior Princess. The Senior Princess is usually considered to be next in line as Honored Queen. Girls who finish a term as Honored Queen use the PHQ (Past Honored Queen) designation within Job's Daughters. The other elected officers are the Guide, who escorts guests, and the Marshal, who is in charge of the property of the Bethel. The five top offices are known as the line officers, since typically a girl starts at Marshal and works her way up the line, changing offices every six months, until she is Honored Queen. The remainder of the offices are called the floor offices, and are appointed by the Honored Queen, and approved by the Bethel Guardian Council. They are: Senior and Junior Custodian, Inner and Outer Guard, Librarian, Recorder, Musician, Treasurer, Chaplain, and the Five Messengers, whose job is to tell the story of Job to new initiates. Bethel members without an office serve in the Choir. |

A Grand Bethel Honored Queen is the head of a statewide Job's Daughters organization. The Supreme Bethel Honored Queen is the head of the international organization. These officers are usually Past Honored Queens of their local Bethel. Bethels are supervised by an adult female officer known as the Bethel Guardian. A Master Mason called the Associate Bethel Guardian is required to be present at each meeting. They are joined by other adults to form the Bethel Guardian Council. The Executive Council consists of the Bethel Guardian, the Associate Bethel Guardian, the Guardian Secretary, the Guardian Treasurer, and either the Director of Music or the Director of Epochs. The other Council positions include the Promoter of Finance, Promoter of Sociability, Custodian of Paraphenalia, Promoter of Hospitality, Director of Patrol, Promoter of Youth Activities, Promoter of Goodwill, Promoter of Fraternal Relations, and Director of Promotion. At the state level a group of adults called the Grand Guardian Council oversees all of the Bethels in their state. |
